1 min read

Specialty chemical manufacturer Ameripolish of Lowell has been acquired by SBG Holdings Inc. of Knoxville, Tennessee, a manufacturer of specialty equipment for the maintenance, conversion and placement of concrete flooring and other hardscapes.

Ameripolish’s leadership team, Clint Howle and Carl Cabot, will remain in place, the companies said in a news release.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Ameripolish provides products for the maintenance and renewal of polished concrete and terrazzo flooring. The company, founded in 2005, is said to have introduced revolutionized solvent-based, penetrating concrete dyes to the concrete polishing industry.

“We are excited to leverage SBG’s resources to even better service our growing customer base,” Howle said in the release. “Together, we’re building a stronger, more complete systems-based solution for the concrete flooring industry.”

SBG Holdings is a portfolio company of Charger Investment Partners, a private equity firm based in El Segundo, California. The company invests in mid-sized companies primarily in the industrial, consumer and services industries.
