Andy Goodman, chief legislative aide to state Sen. Jonathan Dismang, will join Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s staff as director of policy coordination and legislative outreach on Jan. 2.
“During his years with the Arkansas Senate, Andy Goodman proved to be a consummate consensus builder who quickly understands issues and offers workable solutions,” Hutchinson said in a news release. “His experience and sound judgment will be an enormous asset to Arkansas as we draw up the blueprint to further streamline state government on behalf of all Arkansans.”
Goodman said in the release, “I am grateful to Senator Dismang for the experience I have gained while working with the General Assembly. I hope to use that experience to help facilitate clear communication between legislators and the governor’s office, and to continue to help promote good policy.”
Before he joined Dismang’s staff in December 2015, Goodman was director of real estate for the State Lands Commission.
He is a graduate of Conway High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Harding University in Searcy.
