“Antiques Roadshow,” the immensely popular PBS series, is coming to Little Rock on July 25, according to a schedule published on the show’s website.
The show last came to Arkansas in 2002, setting up shop in the Hot Springs Convention Center and attracting more than 6,000 people.
The program will also be visiting Tucson, Arizona, on May 30; Spokane, Washington, on June 6; Omaha, Nebraska, on June 27; Cleveland on July 11; and Charleston, South Carolina, on Aug. 8.
Tickets are free and are distributed through a random drawing. Those wishing to apply can visit the show’s website here. Each ticket holder can bring only two objects for appraisal.

During the Hot Springs visit, the appraisers discovered a number of valuable items, including a landscape painting by Jasper Cropsey (1823-1900) owned by an unidentified Rogers man.
In the 2009 book “Antiques Roadshow: Behind the Scenes,” Marsha Bemko, executive producer of the show, revealed that Hot Springs was the favorite city of one of the show’s associate producers.
“When [Associate Producer Jill] Giles was asked what the crew’s favorite city was, she answered without hesitation, ‘Hot Springs, Arkansas!’ She recalls, ‘They really rolled out the red carpet for us. A woman who owned a mansion out on a lake extended her hospitality and her home to the staff, crew and appraisers in a dramatic way. There were fireworks, boat rides, Jet Skis and a private chef. Everyone had a great time.'”
“Antiques Roadshow” made headlines with Monday’s episode, when a woman brought in a collection of “Boston Red Stockings” baseball cards that date to the late 1800s. The collection was valued at $1 million.
