Newmark Grubb Arkansas of North Little Rock on Thursday announced the sale and lease of several properties in downtown North Little Rock’s Argenta Arts and Innovation District.
Argenta Flats LLC purchased the 600 and 800 blocks of Maple Street and will begin construction on Phase II of the Argenta Flats Apartment complex.
Alan and Diana New purchased 709 Main St. from 7th Street LLC with plans convert about 2,500 SF on the bottom floor into retail and office space for lease.
The firm did not disclose financial details.
The firm also said construction at 711-715 Main St., led by John Chandler, is underway and will be available for lease in the third quarter 2016. Plans call for three retail/office spaces and five loft apartments available for lease ranging from 594-5,964 SF.
“These are not your everyday apartments — they will be very one-of-a-kind kind of spaces and sort of the last of the old Main Street historic-type apartments,” Chandler told Arkansas Business in November. “This is not new construction. They’ll all have little yards, covered parking. We’re trying to create different, unusual upscale living down there.”
An additional space has been leased at the Rosemary Hamel Building at 401 Main St.
Elyxor LLC of Boston, a software engineering services company, leased 1,331 SF on the second floor for a two-year term. That leaves one space available for lease in the building.
