ArctBest Corp. of Fort Smith (Nasdaq: ARCB) announced Thursday that Seth Runser would become president of the company beginning Aug. 1.
Since 2021, Runser has served as the president of ABF Freight, the company’s less-than-truckload subsidiary. He will assume the president’s role held by Judy McReynolds, who will remain ArcBest’s CEO and chair of the board of directors.
“Seth has made tremendous contributions to ArcBest’s success over his time with our company, including as president of ABF,” McReynolds said in a news release. “Under his leadership, ABF has consistently delivered record results and has made great strides in enhancing profitability and operational efficiency. His deep knowledge of the business, innovative spirit and commitment to advancing ArcBest’s mission and strategy make him the right person to succeed me as president.”
Runser has been with ArcBest for 17 years and helped negotiate the company’s five-year labor contract with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters this past summer. Runser also led ArcBest’s facility-expansion initiative.
“I am grateful for Judy’s vision and leadership, and look forward to serving in this new capacity,” Runser said. “With our innovative mindset and integrated solutions, ArcBest is uniquely positioned to help customers solve their most complex logistics challenges.”
ArcBest said Matt Godfrey will replace Runser as the president of ABF Freight. Godfrey is vice president of engineering at ABF after joining the company two decades ago.
