Armor Bank of Forrest City has hired Greg Gibson as president of its hometown market.

He brings nine years of experience as an agricultural lender to the job, Armor said in a news release.

Gibson is a 2012 graduate of the University of Arkansas. He’s a board member of the Lee County Community Foundation and is the MGA President for the Marianna Country Club.

“We are very excited to add the lending, leadership, and agriculture experience that Greg will bring to the table,” Chad May, Armor Bank CEO, said in a news release. “Greg will work closely with our Forrest City team members to enhance Armor Bank’s presence in Forrest City and the East Arkansas agriculture community.”

Armor was ranked No. 39 by assests on Arkansas Business’ annual list of the state’s biggest banks. Its assets grew in 2021 by 68% to $349.08 million.
