Arvest Bank Creates New Posts for Customer, Employee Experiences

Arvest Bank of Fayetteville said Tuesday that Rodney Shepard of Fort Smith and Laura Andress of Springdale have been named to newly created positions focusing on customers and employee experiences.

Shepard, previously president and CEO for Arvest in Fort Smith and the River Valley, will become chief customer experience officer (CXO), effective Jan. 1. Andress, executive director of group human resources, will become chief people officer (CPO).

Arvest said Shepard manage the “overall day-to-day experience for customers and associates,” working with management to “maintain a consistent, customer-first mentality across the bank’s physical and digital channels.”

Shepard has been with Arvest for more than 25 years, and is being replaced as president and CEO in Fort Smith and the River Valley by Roger Holroyd.

Andress will be responsible for developing and executing a human resource plan that support’s Arvest’s strategic direction. She will work in succession planning, talent management, organizational and performance management, training and development, benefits and compensation, and associate communication.

Andress joined Arvest in 2004, after 13 years as an attorney and partner at a Fayetteville law firm.
