The Arkansas State University System has announced three finalists to be the next chancellor of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home.
The finalists are:
- Kendra Ericson, president of St. Luke’s College in Sioux City, Iowa
- Tamara Daniel, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at ASU-Mountain Home
- Bentley Wallace, president of South Arkansas College in El Dorado
The finalists were chosen after a search committee reviewed 47 applications for the position.
In a news release, system President Dr. Charles Welch said the candidates had each accepted invitations to visit the campus and formally interview for the position.
“We’re very pleased with the pool of quality applicants, and the three finalists are outstanding higher education administrators with impressive backgrounds who would each bring unique experiences to ASU-Mountain Home,” Welch said. “We look forward to interviews and constituency visits on campus during the next couple of weeks, and we will welcome feedback.”
Each finalist will meet with the search committee, faculty, staff, students and community members during interview sessions.
Ericson is scheduled to visit on June 5, Daniel is scheduled for June 6 and Wallace on June 7.
Robin Myers, the current chancellor, announced in March that he plans to retire at the end of July. He has held the position since 2012.
Welch has said he’d like to name a new chancellor by July 1.
