ATA International of Little Rock, the nation’s largest martial arts organization, has named Senior Master Taekwon Lee as CEO.

Lee is a seventh-degree black belt and a senior master instructor. He has previously served as ATA’s vice president of media and executive director of training. In 2019, Lee became co-owner and managing partner of an ATA licensed school in Atlanta which is currently among the top schools in Georgia.

The privately held organization was founded by Lee’s father, H. U. Lee, who holds the title of Eternal Grand Master.

“I’m prepared for this challenge and excited to lead the organization my father started,” the younger Lee said in a news release.

ATA has more than 950 schools and 300,000 members across the U.S.

Lee said he plans to roll out his plans for ATA in the coming months, which will honor martial arts instructors, encourage continued innovation in ATA products, and grow the value and importance of the martial arts schools within their communities around the world.

ATA has trained over a million students in more than 28 countries.
