Baxter Regional Health System has announced that it’s acquiring Washington Regional Crossroads Medical Clinic in Harrison effective Nov. 1.
The clinic will remain at 1420 S. Hwy. 62-65.
The health system said in a news release that current providers Dr. Victor S. Chu, Dr. Kevin T. Jackson, Jason Froeschle, APRN, and Amanda Winford, APRN, will continue working at the clinic. They’re being joined by a new provider, Kim Cudworth, APRN.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed in the release.
A spokesperson for Baxter Regional did not immediately respond to messages seeking further details.
The health system this year has taken steps to expand and improve services. In July, the Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation began the public phase of a campaign to raise $1.7 million to remodel its Surgical Services Unit at its main campus in Mountain Home. The remodel calls for six new patient rooms, 26 renovated patient rooms, an expanded waiting room and remodeled nurse station.
The fundraiser began with a $700,000 gift from the Baxter Regional Auxiliary.
In May, Baxter Regional Medical Center purchased a 3.2-acre lot where the former Hiram Shaddox Geriatric Health and Rehab building was located. The building, formerly owned by Health Care Solutions LLC, had been in disrepair after a 2018 storm.
“Plans to obtain this plot have been in development for quite some time,” Barney Larry, Baxter Regional’s vice president of business development said in a news release. “We are excited to begin demolition and to begin planning for even more services to become available to our community.”
