Best Association Management Gets Contract to Oversee ASAE

1 min read

Best Association Management of Little Rock has been awarded the contract to manage the Arkansas Society of Association Executives, according to a news release Wednesday.

The award follows a formal search for new management after long-time ASAE executive director Mary Dandurand announced her plan to retire this July.

Dandurand began her role as executive director in 1996, providing “solid leadership throughout the years,” the news release states.

Formed in 1978, the ASAE provides opportunities for association executives to develop networks among their peers, allowing better communication and education on topics like convention planning, seminars, publications and management skills.

The ASAE is affiliated with the American Society of Association Executives. Since its founding, the ASAE comprises 135 regular members who represent more than 100 associations. In addition, there are 115 associate members who represent firms that provide services to those associations, such as hotels, resorts and restaurants.

“We are honored to be selected to manage ASAE,” said Anne Fuller, the president of Best Association Management and a former president of the ASAE from 2009-2010.

Best Association Management, on a contractual basis, provides management services to the executive and administrative levels of various associations, specifically professional societies and both trade and philanthropic associations.
