The Creekside shopping center on Mall Avenue in Fayetteville will have a new look and new tenants in a few months.
Co-owner Matt Dearnley said ownership is doing some construction work to divide up the previous 10,000-SF space that was occupied by OK China Buffet. That restaurant has closed and will be replaced by three tenants, who will occupy the reformatted space.
Phat Tire Bike Shop, which is already located at Creekside, will move into a 6,000-SF space while the other 4,000 SF will be filled by Core Brewing and Alex Baldwin’s State Farm Insurance office. Baldwin is currently located on Joyce Avenue.
Dearnley, the CEO of Flake & Kelley Northwest in Fayetteville, owns a quarter of the center along with John Flake, the chairman of Flake & Kelley. Bo Briggs owns the other 50 percent of the center.
Dearnley said the reconstruction of the 21,700-SF property will take about three months and cost approximately $150,000. Dearnley said the center will be close to capacity after the renovations and new tenant additions.
The ownership group bought the property for slightly less than $2.8 million in 2008.
