The Superior Industries International plant in Rogers.
Binswanger of Philadelphia has listed for sale the 268,514-SF single-story manufacturing plant and warehouse in Rogers that Superior Industries International Inc. closed last year.
The listing price is $6.3 million, according to a Binswanger spokeswoman.
The company, which made aluminum wheels for automobiles at 1301 N. Dixieland Road, laid off 500 people when it shut down operations there at the end of the year. It planned to move production to other facilities in Fayetteville and a new $135 million plant in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Built in 1989, the plant could produce about 1.75 million wheels per year. Superior, which is based in Van Nuys, California, and has other plants in Chihuahua and makes about 12 million wheels per year.
In a news release, Bingswanger said it is marketing the property to an array of manufacturers, including those making auto parts, paper, plastics, rubber, nonmetallic mineral products, metals, machinery, electronics, electrical equipment and more.
The property is on 20 acres about a half a mile east of I-540/49. The building contains 229,350 SF of manufacturing and warehouse space; 15,420 SF of maintenance work space; a 11,644 SF tool shop; and 12,100 SF of modern, air-conditioned office space with private offices and conference rooms.
