Blick to Chair National Alliance of Preservation Commissions (Movers & Shakers)

Patricia Blick of Little Rock has been elected chair of the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions, based in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Blick, who has been a member of the NAPC for six years, is the executive director of the Quapaw Quarter Association and was previously assistant director of the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program.

Chris Kent has been hired as executive director of marketing and development for the Argenta Downtown Council in North Little Rock. Kent has more than 20 years of experience and has also worked as director of operations for Applied Land Restoration Inc.

Susie Cowan joins the council as director of marketing and development. Cowan previously served as arts and culture program leader for the North Little Rock Parks & Recreation Department.
