Baptist Health announced that it has hired Brandi Stewart as chief nursing officer for the health system’s hospitals in Fort Smith and Van Buren, as well as the its clinics in the River Valley.
Stewart has 25 years of nursing experience and most recently served as vice president and chief nursing officer of INTEGRIS Health Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon, Oklahoma. During her time there, Stewart spearheaded numerous initiatives to improve patient experience and quality outcomes, Baptist said in a news release.
“I’m passionate about working closely with all members of a patient’s care team to improve safety, communication and the overall experience for both the patient and their families,” Stewart said.
Stewart earned a bachelor’s in nursing from Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and a master’s in business administration in health care administration from American Sentinel University in Aurora, Colorado.
“Brandi brings a rare blend of leadership in nonprofit and for-profit sectors and a deep understanding of faith-based health care,” Jeff Carrier, president of Baptist Health Region, said in a statement. “Her experience in advancing health care missions make her an exceptional addition to Baptist Health.”
