Brett Overman

In 1998, 23-year-old Brett Overman was eager to start his career. A scholarship golfer at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Overman had pursued the pro circuit briefly after graduation but found it difficult to succeed. The marketing major was looking to devote his talents to business.

His father, Ben Overman, had begun a small maintenance and janitorial company in 1994, and the younger Overman had a feeling he could transform All-Clean USA into much more.

After consulting friends in the insurance sector, Brett Overman spotted a need for a restoration company in northeast Arkansas to provide 24-hour recovery cleanup and reconstruction after fires, floods and other disasters.

Soon after Brett Overman landed his first restoration gig, the elder Overman retired. Brett Overman has since grown All-Clean from a one-man show to an in-demand business employing more than 50 people. He was a finalist in the Executive of the Year category at last fall’s first Northeast Arkansas Business of the Year banquet.

Overman also developed National Disaster Solutions Inc. to handle larger-scale commercial projects. “Seven days after Katrina devastated New Orleans, NDS had a team of 300 workers on the ground and was one of the first three contractors in the city assisting with disaster recovery,” he said.
Overman called the addition of NDS his greatest business accomplishment.

“I am most proud of the fact that All-Clean USA-NDS is now seen as a national company,” he said, “playing on a national level when it comes to disaster response and emergency management.”

In 2007, he founded All-Clean 4 Kids, a food and gift-giving program serving underprivileged children during the holiday season.
