The Little Rock-based engineering and environmental consulting firm of Engineering Compliance & Construction Inc. celebrates its 30th anniversary this year serving industrial clients with a diversity of professional talent.

The company’s team of 22 staffers delivers cost-effective environmental solutions and project management assistance in the areas of compliance, permitting, strategic planning and sustainability.

“We work all over Arkansas and the Southeast,” said Julie McCallister, president of ECCI and a senior environmental scientist. “We provide a small firm feel with big firm ability. We’re punching above our weight.”

Founded in 1993 by Stan Jorgensen, Bob Harrison and Rod Breuer, the company has navigated a path of controlled growth. Known by its shorthand name of ECCI, the firm has expanded its headcount over the years with the addition of skilled, experienced mechanical, chemical, civil and environmental engineers and scientists.

With cradle-to-grave capabilities, the ECCI staff can guide industrial clients through permitting processes from the start of planning to the launch of production to the closure of a property.

A small sample of the firm’s specialty areas include air dispersion modeling, environmental compliance audits, hazardous waste permitting, erosion control and sedimentation plans, wastewater treatment design and evaluations and sustainability program development.

The company’s mission is to provide environmental and engineering solutions to enhance its partners’ efficiency, sustainability and growth.

ECCI has developed a solid track record of regulatory management established on longstanding relationships with regulatory agencies. That allows for open communication and avoidance of potential complications regarding matters of air, soil and water.

“We’re excited about all the industries and companies that have come to Arkansas,” McCallister said. “Arkansas is a clean state with clean air and clean water, and we’re proud to help keep it that way.”
