What started as one facet of her job as a legal assistant blossomed into a new career and a stand-alone business for Sally Goss.

The genesis of Goss Management Co. LLC can be traced to 1980 when she was managing a 13-unit apartment complex in North Little Rock as part of her office duties. “That’s how I got a taste of it,” Goss said of residential property management.

More business came her way over the years, leading to a part-time vocation as a property manager and prompting the decision to go full time in 1995 with the establishment of her home-based company.

Her list of properties numbered about two dozen when she launched Goss Management, with first-year revenue of less than $500,000. Today, the management portfolio contains close to 400, with annual revenue of more than $3 million.

“It kept growing and growing,” said Goss, principal broker at her namesake firm. “I’m real proud of our success.”

She moved the business out of her house 16 years ago, and these days, Goss Management makes its home at 1500 Macon Drive in west Little Rock. Goss and her husband, Chuck, are among a five-member staff overseeing rental properties, mostly single-family homes with a sprinkling of condos, duplexes and small apartments owned by 200 different clients.

The company has a history of consistent growth through economic downturns and upswings, powered by word-of-mouth referrals.

Goss is proud that her family-owned enterprise maintains an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. She points to the delivery of responsive 24/7 service as a foundation of the company’s reputation.
