Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate & Development has made a big splash on the Jonesboro realty scene since opening for business less than three years ago.

The company's brokerage business alone generated sales volume of $37 million during its first full year of operations in 2011. That number grew to $43 million in 2012.

"Any of the new retail projects in Jonesboro during the past couple years, we've done them," said Josh Brown.

Haag Brown Commercial represents a cross-generational partnership between Greg Haag, 53, and Brown, 29.

Haag is a 30-year veteran of real estate development, with a roster of regional projects to his credit. Brown has plied his trade as a commercial real estate broker since 2007.

Their venture grew out of Brown seeking career advice from Haag. Those talks evolved into discussions about joining forces to form a full-service commercial realty firm.

The company's staff of eight helps list and sell commercial real estate, analyze lease-versus-own scenarios and execute sale-leasebacks, relocations and expansions.

"We have a lot of technology at our fingertips to do what we do," Brown said.

Haag Brown Commercial is helping redevelop the former Northeast Arkansas Fairgrounds into a retailing destination on Stadium Boulevard in Jonesboro.

The company also is an active player in helping medical office projects happen in conjunction with the new NEA Baptist campus in Jonesboro.

The firm has a growing list of local clientele as well as national concerns such as Japanese Steakhouse, Buffalo Wild Wings, Plato's Closet and Panera Bread.

Opportunities in Jonesboro have provided a solid base of business as the firm also pushes out with regional transactions.
