2026 Arkansas Business of the Year // Innovation Pacesetter

Bentonville

When attorney Nick Coleman couldn’t find a technology to streamline Social Security Disability Insurance claims for his clients, he decided to build a better way himself.

That led him to found legal tech software company LexMed in 2022, offering artificial intelligence tools that tackle notoriously complicated Social Security Disability Insurance claims. At the time, Coleman was running his own practice, handling more than 300 of the claims a year.

The platform includes hearing transcriptions with optimized legal terminology, vocational expert auditing that can flag obsolete jobs and testimony errors, and medical chronology services. The company is currently beta-testing its new ChartVision product.

Coleman, a 2011 graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law, left his practice in early 2025 to focus full time on LexMed, with the company raising $1 million in venture capital last year. LexMed is projected to reach about $850,000 in revenue this year as more products are rolled out.
