Women's Foundation of Arkansas

As the only statewide organization devoted entirely to women and girls, the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas has a clear vision: to break barriers and build opportunity.

To that end, the nonprofit, founded in 1998, provides scholarships, grants and programs that support education, mentorship and paths to financial security for women and girls. These efforts have a ripple effect. “Entrepreneurial support programs help women create stability for themselves and their families, strengthening both households and communities,” the foundation noted.

The Women’s Foundation, which serves 3,000 women and girls annually, offers programs like Girls of Promise and Women Empowered, as well as providing financial education and leading advocacy efforts.

And it continues to expand, launching the Women’s Economic Mobility Hub in northwest Arkansas, “which brings together resources and partnerships to support women’s economic security while serving as a model that can be replicated in other regions of the state.”
