Cantrell Drug Co. of Little Rock, which is in bankruptcy court for reorganization, finally got the Food & Drug Administration to come inspect the place.
If you recall, Cantrell Drug signed a consent decree in April promising to stop making and selling drugs until it meets federal regulators’ requests for changes.
Cantrell Drug met all of the FDA’s requirements, but Dell McCarley, the CEO of Cantrell Drug, said he couldn’t even get an inspection date on the calendar.
Well, the FDA finally came for an inspection, which was completed on Aug. 22.
A spokesman for Cantrell Drug told Whispers that the FDA had three “minor” issues, and they all have been corrected.
“We expect the FDA should approve us for resuming operations shortly,” the spokesman said in an email.
