CareLink Elects Board Directors (Movers & Shakers)

John Davis, president of First Security Bank in North Little Rock, has been elected to the CareLink board of directors, and Stacy Duckett has been named chair of the 2015 board. Duckett serves as vice president, chief of compliance and corporate secretary for Southwest Power Pool. Other officers include Courtney Little of Little Rock, chair-elect; Don Bacon of Little Rock, secretary; and Phyllis Holifield of Little Rock, treasurer.

Health Care

Dr. Maher Dahdel with Sparks Health System in Fort Smith has become board-certified in interventional pulmonology through the American Association for Bronchology & Interventional Pulmonology. Dahdel treats patients at Sparks Clinic Lung Center at Sparks Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Mary Katherine Kimbrough, assistant professor in the Department of Surgery in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, has been chosen as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She has board certifications from the American Board of Surgery in both general surgery and surgical critical care and is a member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, Society of Critical Care Medicine, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and Association of Surgical Education.

Terri Parker West has been named manager of communications and design with QualChoice in Little Rock.

Agriculture

Kathy Barbeire-Bruton has joined CAT Squared in Conway as marketing manager. Barbeire-Bruton previously was director of marketing and public relations with the Salvation Army.

Financial Services

Jeffrey Lynch, president and CEO of Eagle Bank & Trust Co. in Little Rock, has been appointed to a three-year term on the St. Louis Federal Reserve’s Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council. The council advises the St. Louis Fed president on regional credit, banking and economic conditions.

Legal

Jess Askew III, Stephen Dacus, Scott Jackson, Alexander Justiss and Andrew King have been elected partners with Kutak Rock LLP at the Little Rock and Fayetteville locations. Askew focuses his practice on the areas of business and class-action litigation and constitutional, education, media and appellate law in Little Rock; Dacus practices in Fayetteville in general civil and complex commercial litigation in state and federal court; Jackson represents corporate clients and management professionals in complex commercial and employment litigation in Fayetteville; Justiss concentrates his practice in Little Rock on health care transactions and regulations and provides guidance on related corporate, commercial and privacy matters; and King practices in commercial litigation, lenders’ rights and defense of consumer class actions in Little Rock.

David Duke has been named a shareholder of Gill Ragon Owen in Little Rock, and Jordan Wimpy has joined the firm as an associate. Duke has practiced for 35 years with a focus on corporate and commercial transactional matters, commercial litigation, real estate and title issues, perfection and priority issues regarding secured transactions, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy, creditor workouts/restructuring, personal injury litigation and matters involving the Employment Retirement Income Security Act. Wimpy’s primary practice areas include environmental law, administrative law and agricultural law.

Janet Pulliam has joined Mitchell Blackstock in Little Rock. Pulliam was selected for the 2015 Best Lawyers in America in employment and labor litigation. She has been an active litigator for 35 years in the areas of employment, health and school law.
