Caroline Morgan Ford
The Wolfe Street Foundation board of directors has named Caroline Morgan Ford the new executive director of the foundation after a regional search conducted upon the resignation of Markey Ford, longtime executive director (and no relation to Caroline Ford).
The Wolfe Street Foundation operates Wolfe Street Center, a 12,350-SF facility in Little Rock offering daily groups, programs and outreach for individuals and families recovering from alcoholism and addiction.
“We are pleased to welcome Caroline to the foundation,” said board Chairman Alfred L. Williams, senior vice president of BancorpSouth Insurance Services Inc. “She brings 25 years of experience in the fields of executive planning, marketing and education to our cause. She brings the potential for more civic engagement from the corporate community as businesses seek information around recovery for their employees.”
Ford comes to Wolfe Street Foundation from the Arkansas Venture Center and Hendrix College. She has served on several nonprofit boards and owns and operates transitional-living residences for women in Little Rock. Ford has a doctorate in business administration and a Master of Science in marketing, both from Georgia State University.
Rex Nelson, senior vice president and director of corporate communications for Simmons First National Corp., has been named honorary chair of the 2016 Arkansas Cornbread Festival, which will be held on South Main Street in Little Rock on Oct. 29.
Nelson is also a food blogger and a columnist for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. The Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance and Our House charities have been selected as beneficiaries of the event.
