Perhaps you’ve heard the former Jess’s Chicken at 10907 N. Rodney Parham Road in west Little Rock is undergoing transformation into an unusual commercial combo: Cate’s Pharmacy & Mini Donuts.
Here are a couple of nuggets you may not know.
Ownership of the project is split among pharmacist Daniel Cate, who will operate the new venture, 80%; David Alan Bubbus Jr. of David’s Burgers fame, who launched Jess’s in 2022, 15%; and Eric Shelley, a pharmacy veteran, 5%.
We’re told the project will employ a staff of four to five when the Jess’s-to-Cate’s conversion is complete during the next 60-90 days.
Expected business hours are 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with a possible extension of hours for the drive-through in the mornings and evenings, and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturdays.
Floor plans call for a seating capacity of 25-30 for patrons to snack on mini donuts and ice cream and sip on coffee and soft drinks.
