Citizens Bank Selects Point for Entry Into Little Rock

1 min read

Citizens Bank of Batesville is formally wading into the state’s largest market with a west Little Rock presence.

The $772 million-asset lender will open offices in the Euronet Building at 17300 Chenal Parkway. The third-floor space, formerly leased to Stifel Nicolaus & Co., will be an entry point to the $15.2 billion-deposit Pulaski County market.

“It’s the first step in a planned expansion into the Little Rock market,” said Phil Baldwin, Citizens CEO. “This will allow us to begin taking deposits and making loans.”

The 3,166-SF office will provide temporary quarters for Citizens President and Chief Lending Officer Adam Mitchell and an expanding staff to begin drumming up business and plotting strategy.

“We’ll be looking at other space in the Little Rock-North Little Rock area,” Baldwin said. “You’ll see a traditional branch built within one year.”

That future location will join 183 full-service branches operated by 28 lenders in Pulaski County.
