CJRW's recently won Hermes Platinum Awards
Two television ad campaigns by Little Rock marketing firm CJRW for the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery and state tourism scored top awards late last month in the Hermes Platinum Awards competition.
“This Is Winning,” a branding campaign for the lottery, took one of the June 28 Platinum Awards, which are sponsored by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals and meant to evaluate the creative industry’s best video productions, branding collateral and websites used in advertising and marketing for clients.
CJRW’s Arkansas Tourism work won the 2020 annual spring/summer brand marketing category with a campaign raising awareness about Arkansas destinations and outdoor recreation sites worth driving to, and positioning the state as a safe place to visit during the pandemic.
The lottery ads featured a tour across Arkansas with actual lottery winners, the lottery’s fictional spokesman, Wynn More, and a vehicle ad-wrapped with the “This Is Winning” message.
In addition to the platinum awards, CJRW won four Hermes Gold Awards for design and publication of the 2021 Arkansas Travel Guide, which the agency and its predecessors has produced every year since 1967; for print media photography featuring Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort; and for integrated marketing materials developed for the Lottery.
The prizes are “a great honor for our creative team and the entire agency,” CJRW Senior Vice President and Creative Director Wade McCune said in a statement. “Any time your work is awarded against national and international competition is special, and to win multiple awards for a range of clients is even better.”
The Hermes program, the AMCP says, is “one of the oldest and largest creative competitions in the world.”
