Correct Craft Names Steve Henderson President of SeaArk Boats

1 min read

Correct Craft of Orlando, Florida, on Thursday announced the appointment of Steve Henderson as president of SeaArk Boats, the Monticello aluminum fishing boat manufacturer it purchased earlier this week.

Henderson has been as SeaArk’s vice president of sales for 13 years.

“I am thrilled to serve as the new president of SeaArk Boats and look forward to working with [CEO Bill Yeargin] and the Correct Craft team to build our company,” Henderson said in a news release. “The future of SeaArk is extremely promising and our team is excited.”

SeaArk has about 100 employees. Correct Craft said it would like to expand the company.

The acquisition marks Correct Craft’s entry into the aluminum fishing boat market. SeaArk is best known for its aluminum catfishing boats, although it also builds bass- and crappie-fishing boats, jon boats, duck boats and bay boats.

“As my relationship with Steve has developed over the past few months, it became obvious to me that he was the right person to lead SeaArk,” Yeargin said. “He is respected in the industry and most importantly by the SeaArk team; I look forward to working with him and believe he will do a great job.”

Correct Craft has about 1,000 employees, 25 companies, 12 brands. Last year, it purchased another family-owned boat company, BassCat of Mountain Home.
