2 min read

Danyelle Musselman has joined the New Beginnings Board of Directors.

New Beginnings is a nonprofit headquartered in Fayetteville that provides shelter to the northwest Arkansas’ homeless population.

Musselman has an extensive background working in sports broadcasting, with years of experience in anchoring, hosting and reporting. Most recently, she was an update anchor and hosted “Up to the Minute” for NFL Network. She also served as the host for Yahoo Sports and as an anchor for Fox Sports Net. In addition, Musselman has worked as a sideline reporter for FOX Sports NFL games as well, and spent two years anchoring various programs on ESPN and ESPNews.

She is co-chair of the Coaches vs Cancer Wives & Friends team, and serves as market chair for the Make a Wish Foundation Mid-South Region. Musselman is also the wife of Arkansas Men’s Basketball coach Eric Musselman.

“Throughout the last 18 months, Danyelle has seen, first-hand, the profound challenges of the unhoused population,” said Aaron J. Marshall, president of the New Beginnings board, in a news release. “It was clear from our first visit that she was genuinely affected by this community and wanted to use her time and talents to provide solutions for the most vulnerable in our community. We are ecstatic that she accepted our invitation to join our board and contribute.

“Our family is relatively new to the NWA community, and we had no idea that there was such a homeless issue here,” Musselman said in the release. “Once I was made aware, I felt compelled to step up and spread the word.”
