Dave Bass, owner or co-owner of several bars on Dickson Street in Fayetteville, plans to open an upscale restaurant in Rogers.
Bass signed lease papers to open The Grove in a 3,543-SF space at the new shopping center Whisinvest Realty of Rogers is building near the Walmart Supercenter on Pleasant Grove Boulevard. Bass described the restaurant, which will have a separate bar area, as having an “eclectic American comfort food menu” prepared by a culinary school-trained chef.
Bass said the restaurant will have a full-time staff and a family dining area and called the concept “kitchen and cocktails.”
The shopping center is expected to open around the first of the year.
Alan Cole of Colliers International represented Bass, who has had or currently has ownership stakes in the bars Stir, Shotz, Blue Parrot and Dave’s on Dickson.
