Dunkin' Donuts, coming to Little Rock this week.
They were aiming for August. But those doughnut guys get up early in the morning, and the early rising has paid off. Dunkin’ Donuts will open its Cantrell Road location at 5 a.m. Tuesday.
And what of the rumored second Little Rock locale? The one said to be near the Kanis and Shackleford intersection, a stone’s throw from Dunkin’ arch-nemesis Krispy Kreme? Still no more word on that. But we’ll keep our ears open. The prospect of a head-to-head doughnut brawl is too delicious to ignore.
Meanwhile, we don’t have to tell you what big business doughnuts are in central Arkansas. As Kate Knable reported in April, Little Rock and North Little Rock are home to a combined 14 doughnut shops with 2011 sales ranging from almost $2 million to less than $40,000.
