Ecoark Names Stephen Dacus General Counsel

1 min read

Ecoark Holdings Inc. of Rogers on Monday named Stephen Dacus general counsel.

He will be responsible for overseeing the company’s legal affairs, acquisition structuring and legal and diligence. Dacus will also provide counsel to the board of directors, CEO and senior management.

“Bringing our legal counsel in-house is critical at this stage of our company’s aggressive growth plan,” CEO Jay Puchir said in a news release. “As we transition towards an acquisitive holding company with decentralized subsidiaries, an in-house legal counsel will allow us to efficiently manage the deal structuring and vetting process for multiple acquisition targets simultaneously. Stephen is a bright, successful, disciplined thinker who will be instrumental in advising the team on strategic decisions.”

Dacus began his career as an associate in K&L Gates LLP’s Dallas office. Most recently, he was a partner at Kutak Rock LLP and worked for that firm’s Fayetteville office.

Dacus has focused on general civil and complex commercial litigation; representing diverse companies in various industries in state, federal and appellate court litigation; and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. He has a degree in accounting from the University of Oklahoma and received his law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
