William El-Amin has joined the Regional Recycling & Waste Reduction District as the new environmental officer for Pulaski County.
In this role, he will support other environmental officers in the district’s tire recycling program, which encompasses Clark, Faulkner, Garland, Hot Spring, Lonoke, Monroe, Prairie and Saline counties.
El-Amin is a 19-year veteran of law enforcement and held the position of chief of police in Eudora and Gould and sergeant in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
Michael Meehan, president and CEO of VSC Fire & Security Inc. of Ashland, Virginia, will retire in December, and Chief Operating Officer Tommy Clements will lead the company as its new president, the fifth in its 63-year history. Clements, a Little Rock native, has been in the sprinkler business since 2009 and joined VSC in 2017.
