Elyxor to Hire 45 at New North Little Rock Office

2 min read

Elyxor Inc., a software engineering services provider, said Tuesday that it plans to hire 45 new employees at its new Argenta office space in North Little Rock.

The jobs will be full-time, mid- to senior-level software engineering positions with annual salaries ranging from $60,000 to $100,000, according to Elyxor managing partner Mark Carleo.

The firm, which employs only four people now, said it needs new workers to support clients across the world.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson attended an event announcing the company’s expansion.

“Elyxor could have chosen any state for this expansion and decided Arkansas has a talented workforce to meet the needs of these high-tech positions,” Hutchinson said. “In addition to talent needed to support Elyxor’s rapid growth, central Arkansas also provides access to entrepreneurial entities such as the Arkansas Venture Center and the Innovation Hub. We appreciate the company’s significant investment in the citizens of our great state.”

Hutchinson said Arkansas would continue producing job talent and needs a dynamic, sustained technology sector to balance its economy. He also touted the state’s low, 3.8 percent unemployment rate and growth in STEM education.

North Little Rock Mayor Joe Smith said the expansion is evidence that his city is a great place to work.

Elyxor qualified for the Advantage Arkansas income tax credit, which means it will get back 1 percent of its payroll at the end of the year, according to Mike Preston, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission.

Elyxor was founded in 2010 in Boston. The company has helped clients in financial technology, health care, e-commerce, industrial products and supply chain.

“As Elyxor has grown as a firm, we have been seeking a location where we can build a strong relationship with the local business community and find great talent,” Carleo said in a news release. “We hired our first engineer in Little Rock in 2014, and we have been growing ever since.”

Elyxor signed a two-year lease in March for the second floor of the Rosemary Hamel Building at 401 Main St.
