The Conway Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to have Landmark CPAs and Smith Ford as presenting sponsors for this year’s Outlook Conway programming.
Smith Ford is a fourth-generation, family-owned dealership that has been serving central Arkansas for more than 104 years. Two members of the fifth generation are working at the dealership.
“During this global crisis, Smith Ford is committed to keeping our customers and employees safe and healthy,” said Cate McConnell, office manager and Smith family member. “We’re doing that while still maintaining the same standards of customer service you know and trust.”
In 2022, McConnell will become the first fourth-generation chair of the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce.
In 2018, Beall Barclay & Company, PLC and the Little Rock office of Thomas & Thomas, LLP merged their practices to become Landmark PLC, Certified Public Accountants. Landmark is a full-service public accounting and business advisory firm dedicated to providing quality and reliable services based on specific client needs. Randy Milligan is co-managing member of Landmark.
In 2020, Milligan became chair of the Arkansas Society of Public Accountants. Milligan said that the COVID era is challenging CPAs and financial professionals to think creatively and adapt.
“Our tax professionals find themselves inundated with tax law changes resulting from COVID-19 related legislation and related guidance, both of which are not always clear as to what the new rules are,” said Milligan, who expressed confidence that Landmark and the accounting profession will rise to the challenge. “The society recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, which to me shows if anyone can handle the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, we can. I think during this time of crisis, our profession will shine.”
