First Arkansas Bank & Trust to Rebuild Branch in Cabot

1 min read

First Arkansas Bank & Trust of Jacksonville announced Wednesday that it will be rebuilding its branch in Cabot.

A release from the company stated the decision to construct a new branch at the existing site, located at 105 S Rockwood Drive in Cabot, is a result of the Arkansas Department of Transportation’s decision to construct a traffic roundabout at the intersection of Rockwood Drive and Highway 89 on the west side of Cabot.

FAB&T Chairman and CEO, Larry T. Wilson, said in the release that the bank’s existing branch, adjacent to the aforementioned intersection, will soon be demolished, with a new banking facility to be rebuilt at the same location.

The new building will be repositioned to allow ARDOT the necessary space to construct the roundabout and leave enough space for a new, more modern banking facility.

Wilson stated that a temporary Rockwood Branch will be in a retail storefront building located nearby, at 290 South Rockwood Road. A temporary drive-up ATM plus live teller service will also be located at 110 South Rockwood Road until the new facility is completed.

The new branch facility will be approximately 3,000 SF and is expected to be completed in late 2026 or early 2027, depending on weather conditions and the time required to complete construction of the roundabout.
