Brian Emison

Brian Emison has been hired by First Community Bank of Batesville as senior vice president, retail deposit officer. He previously worked at First Community Bank for nine years before serving as senior vice president operations, chief deposit officer at FNBC Bank of Ash Flat.

Clayton Matthew Hiett

Clayton Matthew Hiett has been hired by Crews & Associates of Little Rock as a sales representative for institutional sales. His work will focus on guiding institutional and retail clients with their fixed-income needs.

Tasse Rodgers

Tasse Rodgers has been hired by Stone Bank of Mountain View as a customer service representative and teller. She will work in the bank’s White Hall branch and was formerly a senior relationship banker at Simmons Bank of Pine Bluff.

Education

Brandon Greenwood has been promoted to head men’s basketball coach and associate athletic director at Philander Smith University in Little Rock. After winning multiple conference and tournament championships, he is leaving his role as head women’s basketball coach, to which Larena Walker has been appointed. She is a former student-athlete at the university and helped lead its women’s basketball team to two championships.

Matt Jenkins

Matt Jenkins has been hired by Arkansas State University-Beebe as marketing director.

Quincy Davidson has been hired by Hendrix College in Conway as vice president for advancement. He is leaving Boston University, where he led a team focused on philanthropy. He also held leadership positions in philanthropy and engagement at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York.

Environmental

Abby Townsend

Abby Townsend has been promoted to vice president of marketing at CTEH LLC of North Little Rock. She is now responsible for the strategic direction of marketing initiatives for the brand and its services. Townsend has worked at the company since 2015.

Food Service

Chris Turner, a University of Arkansas at Fayetteville graduate, has been elected chief executive officer of Yum Brands Inc. of Louisville, Kentucky. He is currently chief financial and franchise officer and will take over as CEO in October.

Health Care

Brian Gittens

Brian Gittens has been named vice chancellor for the Division of People & Culture at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He joined UAMS in 2019, coming from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he was associate dean for human resources.

Asif Masood

Dr. Asif Masood has been hired as medical director of the Jefferson Regional Jones-Dunklin Cancer Center in Pine Bluff. A hematologist and oncologist, he is a member of the Arkansas Medical Society of Little Rock and a board member of the American Cancer Society of Atlanta.

Dr. Joe Thompson, a professor of pediatrics and public health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, received a lifetime achievement award from the National Network of Public Health Institutes of New Orleans. He is also the president emeritus of the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement of Little Rock.

Dr. Naveen Patil has been named president-elect of the Arkansas Medical Society of Little Rock. Previously, he served as vice president. Patil has also served as the deputy state health officer of the Arkansas Department of Health since 2010.

Rebecca Berry

Rebecca Berry has been hired by Excel by Eight of Little Rock as communications manager. She will work to support strategies to improve health and education outcomes for children in Poinsett County.

Joe Minton

Manufacturing

Joe Minton has been promoted to vice president of HVAC at Lexicon Inc. of Little Rock. He has worked at the company since 1998 and will manage all phases of HVAC projects in the custom metals division.
