Former District Judge James Moody Returns to Wright Lindsey & Jennings

1 min read

James M. Moody Sr., who retired earlier this year as a U.S. district judge for the Eastern District of Arkansas, has rejoined his previous law firm, Wright Lindsey & Jennings LLP of Little Rock, in an of counsel role. He will lead private mediations and arbitrations and will consult on litigation strategies with attorneys both inside and outside the firm.

A native of El Dorado, Moody earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas in 1962 and a law degree from the UA School of Law in 1964. He joined Wright Lindsey & Jennings in 1966 and practiced there until he was nominated to the federal bench by President Bill Clinton in 1995. He retired on March 7, three days before his son, James M. Moody Jr., was sworn in to replace him on the federal bench.
