The Blue & You Foundation has given a $149,128 grant to Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia for the purchase of equipment for the university’s Health Sciences Simulation Center.
SAU announced the grant on Wednesday. The Blue & You Foundation is also funding construction of the 1,920-SF simulation center.
The center will be open for groups across the Ark-La-Tex region to engage in simulation education and professional training. It will also provide a hands-on instruction for nursing students at SAU, with a higher level of acute care experience, the school said.
Construction is expected to be completed by June.
