The west Little Rock hotel variously known as the Best Western Governor’s Inn and then Best Western Premier Governor’s Suites has big plans for not just a new look but a whole new personality.
Our source describes it as “a major rebranding effort in [the hotel’s] quest to become a destination boutique hotel. A complete renovation inside and out will be highlighted by its new name: The Burgundy Hotel, which will reflect a new commitment to the tradition of the elegance and charm of Europe’s refined hotels.”
We at Whispers are all for refinement.
The hotel, at 1501 Merrill Drive, is the home of Table 28, the restaurant guided by Chef Scott Rains, and will remain so, we understand. Table 28 took the place of Vesuvio Bistro, which moved to 1315 Breckenridge Drive.
Heather Owens of Georgia James Creative is the project’s interior designer. The transformation is expected to be complete by the first week of July.
Southern Lodging LLC owns the property.
