HFA Architecture + Engineering of Bentonville on Monday announced the acquisition of boutique architecture firm The Chesapeake Design Group, Architects Inc. (CDG) of Baltimore, Maryland.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
CDG works on commercial and residential projects across the Mid-Atlantic, New England and Southeast. The company now operates under the HFA brand.
Dave Wilgus, CEO of HFA, said in a news release that CDG’s culture and purpose aligns with the Bentonville-based company. The acquisition positions the firm to pursue new project opportunities and deepen support for key accounts in the restaurant and commercial sectors.
“Part of our vision is to expand our regional presence while securing vital talent,” Wilgus said. “Bringing CDG into the HFA community achieves both very well.”
CDG President Arielle Goldman said the transition is both a natural fit and an exciting new chapter. “In joining HFA, I see an opportunity to affirm and strengthen our commitment to our people and clients, while also expanding our services,” she said in the release.
HFA also has offices in Fort Worth, Texas; Franklin, Massachusetts; Springfield, Missouri; and Mexico City. The company’s portfolio includes commercial projects in retail, industrial, mixed-use office, restaurants, health care, hospitality and entertainment spaces.
