Hog Parking, Rooms With Stadium View For Sale in FayettevilleLock Icon

2 min read

In the market for a sprawling, multi-residence property with a front-row view of Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville?

Well, Whispers has just the listing for you — if you have deep pockets.

We’re talking $12 million deep.

That’s the list price John La Tour has put on his 11,000-SF (and change) set of residences on 1.15 acres. The two tracts, which we are told will be sold together, are on North Oliver Avenue in Fayetteville, across Razorback Road from the University of Arkansas’ suddenly popular again football stadium.

The property is well known as the host of Hog Parking, a popular spot for Razorback fans to tailgate before, during and after football games. The Hog Parking business is a part of the sale.

La Tour’s 5,546-SF residence is one of the three residences included in the listing, which includes a three-story house. Other amenities include a pool, an enormous parking garage for cars and RVs and a two-story treehouse. Oh, and 18 bedrooms and 16½ bathrooms among all the houses on the premises.

The listing, held by Mary Grace Alexander of Lindsey & Associates, has been up for more than 200 days.

We are told there has been interest shown in the property; the Razorbacks winning four consecutive games — Whispers won’t make a guess about Arkansas’ game against Georgia, which will have been decided by the time you read this — should certainly make the prime tailgating business and location more attractive.

La Tour stands to make a healthy profit if he sells for at or near his asking price. He obtained one part of the property for $66,000 in 1987 from Jim Lindsey — former UA football star and NFL player before becoming a real estate titan in northwest Arkansas.

He obtained the second piece of the property for $35,000 in 1992 from Johnnie and Linda Hoffman.

La Tour is best known as a CPA and tax attorney and for his one term on the Fayetteville City Council. He ran for the state’s House of Representatives in District 86 but lost to Nicole Clowney by 70% to 30% in 2020.
