A former CEO at two Arkansas medical centers is returning to the state to lead Magnolia Regional Medical Center.
Brett Kinman, who has more than 25 years of experience in health care management, starts at the medical center in May.
Kinman was most recently administrator of CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall, Texas, and CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital in Atlanta, Texas, where he oversaw operations and worked with physicians and community leaders to promote patient quality and hospital growth.
His previous positions include CEO of Forrest City Medical Center, and Harris Medical Center in Newport.
Kinman, a San Antonio native, succeeds Rex Jones at Magnolia Regional. Jones resigned after five years as CEO to take the same position at the nonprofit Arkansas Rural Health Partnership.
“We believe Brett’s leadership experience, healthcare knowledge, and personality are a wonderful fit for our hospital,” Magnolia Regional Board Chairman Dr. John Alexander said in a news release. “Kinman will be a welcome addition to our hospital and the medical community.”
Kinman is a biomedical science graduate of Texas A&M University. He holds a master’s in health care administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.
“I am very excited about the leadership role at Magnolia Regional
Medical Center and look forward to being an active part of the community,” Kinman said in the release.
