The Arkansas State Fair kicked off Thursday in Little Rock, and hotel price comparison website HotelsCombined.com has released its findings on how the event is affecting area bookings and prices.
The fair will be held through Oct. 22. According to the website, hotel bookings in Little Rock increased by 61 percent for that period compared to last year’s dates.
Hotel prices have also increased, up by 17 percent from what they were during the 2016 State Fair. This year’s travelers will be paying an average of $106 per night for a hotel room, up from $91 last year.
