A campfire seems unlikely, but storytellers will gather round at this year’s Summer Camp Communications Workshop, sponsored by the Arkansas chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.
The workshop, set for 8:30 a.m. Friday, June 24, at Heifer International Village in Little Rock, features Stephanie McCratic, founder of Acorn: An Influence Co.; PR executive Natalie Ghidotti; communications consultant (and regular Arkansas Business columnist) Jim Karrh; and commercial photographer Mark Fonville.
The theme is “Prophets From Their Own Land.” “We didn’t have to look any farther than our own state to find experts and innovators,” camp director Neal Moore said. McCratic will address “Playing Together in the Sandbox: PR and Influencer Marketing,” while Ghidotti, owner of Ghidotti Communications, will talk on how to hold more effective meetings. The title? “We’ve Got to Stop Meeting Like This.”
Karrh’s topic is “Create More Messengers, Grow Your Organization,” and Fonville will present “How to Get Sick, Bad Pictures,” and even explain what those are.
Costs are $50 for students, $100 for IABC members and $125 for nonmembers, and a breakfast snack and lunch will be provided. More information is available at IABCArkansas.com or from Moore at Neal.Moore@SBCGlobal.net.
