James Buggs, cable installer for Conway Corp., has earned the business class service specialist certification from the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers after completion of the required course work.
DeAnna O’Malley was named this year’s Outstanding State Employee by the Arkansas State Employees Association, receiving a $3,000 award, and Tanisha Joe-Conway, Jacqueline Lanier and Derrick Spearmon were named finalists, winning $1,000 each. The ASEA awards recognize employees who show excellence in both professional and personal endeavors as well as community service.
Lesley Nalley has been named the new chief executive officer of Hot Springs Village, where he had been chief financial officer since 2014. As CFO, Nalley has overhauled collection practices, improved cash flow, incorporated accounting systems and led a systemwide software upgrade.
