1 min read

Jim Cargill, president and CEO for the Central Arkansas region of Arvest Bank of Bentonville, has announced his retirement, effective Dec. 31.

Cargill has worked with Arvest for more than 37 years, working in Bartlesville and Shawnee, Oklahoma, Little Rock, Rogers and Bentonville. He became president and CEO in 2016 after 30 years with Arvest.

He is also the 2022 Chairman of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce and will continue to serve until his term concludes at the end of the year.

A native of Lewisville, Cargill is a fourth-generation banker. He attended the University of Arkansas where he majored in finance and banking.

Arvest will announce Cargill’s replacement once that person has been selected.

“We cannot thank Jim enough for his dedication to Arvest and his vast contributions throughout a significant period of growth for the bank,” Craig Rivaldo, regional executive for Arvest, said in a news release. “He will be greatly missed, but we wish him all the best as he prepares to spend more time with his family and enter a new phase of life. We also look forward to working with Jim for the remainder of the year and appreciate his commitment to — and enthusiasm for — ensuring a seamless transition.”
