Jonesboro’s KAIT Adds New Feathers to Network Programming

1 min read

KAIT-TV, Channel 8, in Jonesboro, the region’s ABC affiliate owned by Raycom Media is now also broadcasting NBC programming.

Chris Conroy, KAIT vice president and general manager, said the station started airing the NBC content on Jan. 26. The NBC programming is available over the air on channel 8.2 and through cable and satellite providers.

Conroy said the new programming has been received “extraordinarily well” by viewers, who he noted were able to see the Super Bowl on the channel and will have access to popular shows, including “Blacklist” and “The Voice.” He said the station also plans to include its own content within broadcasts of morning news shows out of WMC-TV, Channel 5, a Raycom NBC affiliate in Memphis.

The station’s ABC programming will not be affected by the second channel’s NBC content.
