Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin on Wednesday announced the hiring of Deputy Legal Counsel and Communications Director Katie Grygar.
“I am excited to welcome Katie Grygar to the team,” Griffin said in a news release. “She brings a broad professional and educational background to the office, and she will be an asset working with the Legislature.”
Grygar worked previously as an attorney at Jackson Walker LLP in Dallas. She is a graduate of Northwestern University in Chicago and Washington University in St. Louis School of Law.
Grygar served as a staff assistant to former Missouri Republican Congressman Kenny Hulshof and worked in the press office of the McCain 2008 presidential campaign. She also served as a presidential speechwriting intern for President George W. Bush and as a Teach for America corp member in Kansas City, Missouri.
“I am ready to hit the ground running during the legislative session and work hard to communicate Lieutenant Governor Griffin’s ideas about reforming government, reducing government spending and growing jobs for Arkansans,” Grygar said.
