Kendrea Jones Set as President of APA’s Pharmacists Academy (Movers & Shakers)

Kendrea Jones of Little Rock was named the new president of the Arkansas Pharmacists Association’s Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists Academy last month at the association’s 134th annual convention in Hot Springs. The academy represents both private and public agencies and other health care organizations.

Jones is a clinical pharmacist at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and an associate professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ College of Pharmacy. She is also an active member of APA, the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.

Jones received her doctor of pharmacy from UAMS. She has also completed a pharmacy practice residency at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis and a critical care specialty residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences School of Pharmacy.


Sammie Cribbs has been promoted to vice president of clinical services and chief nursing officer at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. Cribbs joined NARMC in 2007 as a medical and surgical charge nurse, and was promoted to clinical documentation specialist and director of nursing in 2011 and 2012. As vice president, she will be involved in leading operations in all clinical departments.
